1 (One) LALIQUE ONDINES VASE
This elegant vase was made by renowned French luxury crystal manufacturer, Lalique. The piece - titled 'Ondines' after the protagonist in the fairy tale 'Undine' written by German Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué - has a flared body with a distinctive Art Deco design introduced by Marc Lalique in 1952. The vase features satin-finished nude nymphs set amongst a series of lines resembling waves, making it appear that they are swimming or bathing in the water. The walls of the piece are thick and enhance the rippling visual effect created by the waves, imparting the piece with motion.
