Description
Large-format fold-out 1940 pictorial road map of Mexico, published by General Motors de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. more than 75 years ago.The map opens to 23½" x 17¼" and locates tourist services on principal highway, including gas stations, hotels, restaurants, and General Motor dealers.
The coverage area includes northern and eastern Mexico, including "the cities most visited by tourists and the motoring public."
The map's pictorial elements illustrate oil regions, industry, wildlife, agriculture, cathedrals, and recreational opportunities. Small road signs pictured at the bottom of the map are translated for the benefit of the English-speaking traveler.
On the reverse side there is a General Motors dealer directory, with names, addresses, and GM brands, including Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Cadillac, GMC Truck, and Chevrolet Truck.
There is also a list of hotels and restaurants, and a chart of altitudes between various locations.
Condition:
It is in very good, lightly used condition, with a few minor creases along the edges and
no
