    Brand new,
    concours quality
    reproductions of the BMC ACH6168 tie rod ends as were originally fitted to many classic British cars of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Each set includes two tie rod ends.
    These are NOT generic tie rod ends modified to fit these cars, as is being offered by just about every other seller in the world. These are made from
    new
    ,
    custom tooling
    specifically intended to
    duplicate the original BMC factory design
    , including correct rubber boot, wire retainer clip, castellated nut with cotter pin, and original 90 degree 5/16 UNF grease fitting.

    Original Details
    The inner thread size of
    5/8 UNF
    (5/8 x 18) which is
    cast into the tie rod end
    just as was done on the original BMC factory units. The other side has the original "J6498-9/S" markings cast into it as well. Even the rubber boot has the "J9989" marking as was original.
    Equivalent to BMC numbers ACH6168, 8G8452, Unipart number GSJ169.
