I just purchased this vintage Lalique Cristal figurine / paperweight / hood ornament from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece shows a sparrow with wings / tail outstretched perched on an orb preflight. The casting is beautifully executed with crisp mold and nice detail to the stylized head features and plumage done in a satin finish. The orb and stepped disc base show bright gloss clarity. The diminutive piece measures 3" high, 2" at the wings and 1 7/8" across the foot. The base is signed in hand engraved script "Lalique France". The figure is in excellent condition with no damage. This retired sparrow would make a nice addition to your collection of vintage Lalique crystal figures.
