Owing to its square shape, this piece takes a lot of work. The shape is particularly difficult to achieve as the crystal must be perfectly pressed and molded in the 4 corners of the bowl. The raised design is enhanced by the magnifying effect of the crystal and can be seen perfectly on the outside as well as on the inside of the bowl.
It has several uses: a large ornamental dish, dessert plate, fruit bowl, salad bowl or a presentation platter; this bowl is an essential item for the home. The Romans link the rose to Venus. The rose was reputedly white, but accidentally turned red when Cupid (god of love) spilt a glass of wine on it. Handcrafted in France.
