    Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Tubular control arms and strut rods give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock type

    You don't have to look any farther for tubular control arms for your hot rod. Tubular control arms give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock stamped steel arms. Made from full .120 wall tubing, fixture welded and features screw-in ball joints and no-squeak bushings. Will work with nearly any stock or aftermarket crossmember.
    Replaces 1974-80 Pinto, Bobcat and 1974-78 Mustang II control arms. These control arms are 5/8" narrower than stock, which means that they will reduce front track width by 5/8" per side (or 1-1/4" overall) when compared to a stock width control arm. This helps tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheels.
    When using 5/8" narrower control arms, 1" must be removed from each inner tie rod end.

    Summary:
    I have a HEIDTS Mustang II front end on a 76 Vega, as you can see from the picture with the tire outside the fender, I had the wrong offset, went to a Weld Wheel with the most I could find and still not enough. That is when I found these narrowed control arms on Speedway Site... What a savings over the HEIDTS product. Instructions are clear and understandable painted them with oil base black paint. These are MUCH more safer than the Mustang II style system, once the bushing starts to fail, it causes the car to be harder to control when stopping... With these control arms installed, the car handles a lot better over the stock set up. When you buy, go when the upper and lower, Great quality at a fraction of the Heists price. Well worth the purchase...
