ABOUT TRIGGER FINGER MITTENS:
These mittens have been issued to US front line troops for cold weather since WWII.
Gauntlet style shells with soft canvas on the back and supple leather in the palms.
When combined with the wool/nylon inserts (not included) these gloves provide excellent protection in the harshest of winter environments while still affording the operator index finger and thumb access for squeezing off rounds at the enemy (or game, or paper, their your gloves shoot at what you want) or performing a wide array of outdoor activities.
These Gloves have some insulation without inserts and are made oversized for thick wool inserts.  If you don't have wool inserts, I would suggest buying a size smaller shell than you need and getting a commercial glove liner like: Burton (probably the best price), North Face, Under Armor (this is what I use), Marmot, Spyder, Nike, Etc.  Using a modern commercial glove liner gives you better insulating property than wool with a lot less bulk and most of them will wick and vent moisture providing huge benefits over wool, not to mention none of the "wool itch".
